So last Friday my wife and I went on a double date with our friends JD and Katie. We went to Corner Bakery at the Block and afterwards we went to see He's Just Not That Into You.
While we were at the Corner Bakery I saw a friend of mine walk in that I haven't seen since high school. I told my friends and my wife that when we leave I wanted to say hello to her. After we finished our dinner and we were walking out I walked straight to her table and said, "Ashley"! When I noticed that she didn't recognize me right away I said, "Do you remember me? I'm Mike Chapman from your high school"? I was so embarrassed as she said, "No I'm sorry, I don't remember you". I was a little taken back and thought to myself that there is no way on this world Ashley does not know who I am or has forgotten about me. I then said to her, "Yeah, we went to Esperanza together". At this point Ashley finally said, "My name is Valerie and I didn't go to Esperanza".
I felt like a total fool and wondered to myself why she didn't say right away that she was not Ashley. Regardless this gave us all something to laugh about. Hopefully I will see the real Ashley sometime in the future.

I'm surprised that girl didn't know you anyways. I've never met a more popular person who seems to know everyone!
the other day i was eating lunch at my regular place and some older guy turned to me and said "so bill, what the hell are doing these days"...long stare...
I just went with it and said "i'm a life coach now.."
he looked at me, shook his head and said "sorry, i thought you were someone else"
true story.
you're a nut.
